We quite recommend Chrome, Firefox and Safari, as they are more stable and better browsers. All the major browers are supported: IE, Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc. If you don’t see any video or the mic isn’t picking up voice, you might need to change the permissions Chrome is giving to a site. Obviously, this is just a hack to get things going. Our CCTV Camera, IP Cameras, NVR, DVR have the built-in function which allow a user to watch the live view and replay on the browsers directly. Google Chrome lets you manage which individual sites can have access to your microphone and camera. After granting access, I was able to record audio through Powerpoint. Launched this way, when I tried to access the microphone, the System asked me whether I wanted to grant iTerm access to me microphone. By convention, every application has an executable, meaning, you can launch every application that way (but the name of the executable will usually be different). I.e., I executed the executable in Powerpoint's /Contents/MacOS subfolder. So on the command line, I've typed: /Applications/Microsoft\ Office\ 2011/Microsoft\ PowerPoint.app/Contents/MacOS/Microsoft\ PowerPoint What did help, was to launch Powerpoint from the command line through iTerm (though I suspect, using the Terminal.app works just as well). For webinars, make sure is under allowed.
the Terminal) using: tccutil reset Microphone If you use macOS Mojave and you launch the VidyoConnect application, a pop-up window will display prompting you to select and allow applications (e.g., browsers and the VidyoConnect application) to access your camera and/or microphone. Within Chromes settings, you can manage the default mic and camera, while also allowing or blocking specific websites access to your microphone or camera. Note that you can reset this list from the command line (i.e. Powerpoint does not show up in the list of app with access to the microphone (System Preferences -> Privacy -> Microphone). I have experienced the same issue when trying to record audio with Microsoft Powerpoint 2011 on macOS 10.14.
